Our Performing Arts
Classes
It is optional for drama students to wear the Take2 uniform, but generally they do not.
Yes, all our drama students do grade exams with ‘The Irish Board of Speech and Drama’ from the age of 5 upwards. We offer classes up to and including Teaching Diploma Level. Students can also participate in the annual “Speech and Drama Teachers of Ireland’ All Ireland Feis with many competition categories including Poetry, Solo Drama, Musial Theatre, Reading, Public Speaking, Shakespeare and Poetry Writing etc.

If they are more interested in dancing and singing and performance based classes with a ‘Show Performance’ at the end of the year then Saturday Musical Theatre classes are the best option. Drama classes are for smaller groups to ensure maximum individual attention.
The focus is on developing speech skills and techniques, building up a repertoire of dramatic monologues, speaking poetry and prose, reading skills, projection, clear articulation and building confidence in speaking in front of a small group or an audience. The most important thing is that the student is willing to participate and is willing to learn and have fun.Depending on your schedule and our availability as many as you like! Many students take Speech and Drama, Musical Theatre and Dance Crew classes!
No, Dance Crew is exclusively for existing Saturday Musical Theatre students 11 years +
Yes, towards the end of the year/term we invite students to come along for a free trial class if there is availability.
Little Stars: Wear Take2 Blue Zip Hoodie & Take2 T-Shirt in blue cotton. Black sports leggings (or any plain black bottoms) + bag etc if required. Black plimsoles or any laced runner.
Lights, Camera & Action: Wear any Take2 Hoodie, choice of Take2 T-Shirt (Cotton or Sport) black Sports Leggings (Boys – Black Tracksuit Bottoms) & any extras you like! Black laced runners, Bloch dance runners or black plimsoles.
Seniors: Are allowed any variation on uniform.
Dance Crew: Take2 Sports Crop top and/or Take2 Sports Vest with Sports shorts or leggings. Bloch dance runners available from Dance World.
London Trip: Students going to London can order the ‘London 2025 Hoodie’ (which can be worn as uniform for the year) + black leggings/tracksuit bottom & crop top/ dance shorts etc if required.
